People With Herpes: What troubles them the most? The study on MPWH shows ‘Stigma’

One well-known herpes dating community for persons living with herpes, MPWH, has recently conducted a study on persons living with Genital Herpes & Oral Herpes. The study was conducted on 1000 members of the MPWH community and it was revealed that almost 90 percent of the members could not tolerate the stigma attached to their condition.

The study was carried out with no age or gender preference, giving every member of the community an opportunity to be a part of the revelation. “One of the major aims of conducting the study is to make people aware of the side effects of social stigmatization, while calling for people to stop the practice. We want to enhance togetherness within the community and outside it, helping everyone and anyone to manage the situation effectively.” Said Michelle Lee, the Co-found of MPWH app.

“With this study, meanwhile, we also aim to increase the awareness of the public about herpes and people with it, to let more people know about herpes and people with herpes, in a bid to reduce the level of stigmatization and ensure that those living with the condition can live a normal life like any other person.” Lee said.
