PioneerRx & STC Partner to Empower Independent Pharmacies in the Fight against Zika

2200 community pharmacies nationwide now have access to an innovative Zika Pharmacy Resource Kit through their PioneerRx Pharmacy Software System. PioneerRx and Scientific Technologies Corporation (STC) have collaborated to develop a set of tools that will empower independent pharmacists to advise, educate and engage their customers around Zika virus prevention and how to protect their families and communities.

The Zika Pharmacy Resource Kit is a web based set of tools that PioneerRx pharmacists access electronically through their pharmacy management system. It provides mosquito educational messages, signage, consumer awareness flyers and bag stuffers, marketing information and social media support. Easy access, rapid delivery and common national messaging specific to Zika is the goal.

STC’s relationship with PioneerRx and pharmacy partners to report immunizations to state public health agencies and to empower the pharmacists with a trusted recommendation of immunization opportunities gives the technical framework on which to rapidly add these Zika tools.
