Planet Granite Announces December 1st Opening of New Climbing Gym in Fountain Valley, CA

El Cap, one of the largest operators of indoor climbing facilities in the U.S., announced an opening date of December 1st at 12p.m. PST for its new Planet Granite Fountain Valley location. This new facility features custom-designed bouldering terrain, strength and cardio fitness zones, a yoga studio and a training area complete with systems boards and hydraulic campus boards. In addition, Planet Granite features original artwork by local artist, Max Mcilwee (@art_qbik)

In anticipation of the opening, Orange County residents in the Fountain Valley/Huntington Beach area, who are already a Planet Granite Fountain Valley member or are looking to become a member can join the Member Sneak Peek and Climb scheduled from 10a.m. – 4p.m. on November 30, 2019.

Planet Granite will have multiple features which help foster community within the facility. Along with communal areas for people to use as social lounges and workspaces, the gym will also host a full lineup of adult and youth climbing classes, and a fully-stocked gear shop with friendly and knowledgeable staff.  Like its sister facilities, Planet Granite will cater to participants of all abilities – from competitive athletes to weekend adventurers and families.

The Planet Granite gym is located at 18030 New Hope Street which offers guests convenient access to the 405 and is an ideal location for climbing enthusiasts in Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, and Newport Beach.
