Planet Technology USA (PLANET), a division of Versa Technology, supplying cost-effective last-mile PoE networking solutions, announces the release of its WGS-5225-8MT Industrial L2+ 8-Port 10/100/1000T M12 Wall-mount Managed Switch.

The WGS-5225-8MT managed switch offers eight 10/100/1000BASE-T M12 ports and is housed in an IP40-rated enclosure with redundant 9-48 VDC power inputs. A TAA compliant device, its hardened casing allows it to operate safely in harsh environments in temperatures ranging from -40° to 75°C (-40° to 167°F). The WGS-5225 supports PLANET’s NMS via the CloudViewer App (for Android and IOs) which is an Intelligent App to monitor your network from the cloud.

With a cloud network, it makes data and services available from anywhere with an Internet connection. With PLANET CloudViewer, your network status can be monitored in real time anytime, anywhere via your mobile phone or tablet. Users can easily check network status, device information, and port and PoE statuses from the cloud to reduce management costs.

“The WGS-5225-8MT offers a built in wireless control system with batch provisioning and firmware upgrades, making it both durable and easy to implement,” says Joe Williams, the Versa Technology Director of Distributed Sales, “This switch also has the capability to automatically discover and configure device profiles. ”

Vibration proof and dust proof, the WGS-5225-8MT is able to operate reliably, stably and quietly in railway and other industrial applications subject to shock, vibration and other extreme conditions without affecting its performance. Besides, the WGS-5225-8MT with bypass relay ports ensure non-stop data flow even in the event of a power outage. This device supports:

• SSHv2 and TLSv1.2 protocols to provide strong protection against advanced cybersecurity threats
• Modbus TCP and 1588 time protocol allow for in-factory automation and industrial computing network timing
