Industry: Entertainment & Games

Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) February 11th, 2020
Faisal Al-Ahmari’s hit comedy show, “Akher Ellyl” or “Late Night,” is releasing the second season on Youtube later this year. This follows the first season, which began as mini-episodes on Youtube.
The show is a documentary-style news show that discusses various matters in Saudi Arabian communities. Akher Ellyl means “Late Night,” and it’s a bold show that discusses controversial matters in a sarcastic way while highlighting their audience’s thoughts and voices. The show’s second season will be a turning point for comedic talk shows in Riyadh, due to the bold and transparent topics never before discussed on Suadi Arabian talk shows.
Faisal Al-Ahmari was inspired to become a comedy show host after seeing the lack of discussion on important social topics in his community. He says he pursued this career because, “importing black comedy into the Saudi culture & community is not familiar here in KSA, as well as acceptance and recommendations that I got from the inner circle of my ability to become a comedy show host.”
Season one of Akher Ellyl is available now on Youtube. Visit his website and follow him on Instagram to learn more about Faisal Al-Ahmari.
