Jon M. Quigley, the founding member of Value Transformation, a product development agency that provides consulting, coaching, mentoring, training, and public speaking engagements, this week excitedly announced he has been asked to participate as a judge in the upcoming SAE Student Night.

As part of the student night, which is the 33rd annual event of its kind, SAE Student Night will permit 10 universities with SAE Collegiate Design Series Programs to exhibit and make presentations about their 2019/2020 CDS projects. Attendees can expect to see SAE/Electric, Baja SAE, SAE Aero Design, and SAE AutoDrive programs on display.

“Having taught classes on a variety of product development and manufacturing topics at universities, technical schools, and businesses throughout my tenure, I am absolutely elated to be judging and collaborating with the best and brightest collegiate minds today,” said Quigley. “The SAE Student Night is a great time for students to display what they have been so fervently working on, and I can’t wait to be part of that educational community.”

Quigley wields an Engineering Degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, two Master’s Degrees from the City University of Seattle, and brings over 30-years of experience in product development and manufacturing experience to the table. He is also a founding member of Value Transformation, which has been in operation since 2009.

To date, Quigley has won the Volvo-3P Technical Award in 2005 and the 2006 Volvo Technology Award. He has also secured seven U.S. patents and several international patents for his designs and creations. Lastly, Quigley is considered an expert at ITMPI, is a recurring contributor to the Software Process and Measurement cast, and is of the Pm2Go expert class.

“A little healthy competition encourages all of the inventors, dreamers, and doers of the world to get out there and try that much harder,” said Quigley. “This is what it’s all about. I hope to see everyone at the Hendrick Motorsports Team Center in Concord on Thursday, February 20th. The evening kicks off at 4PM! Get your tickets now.”

Schools invited to attend the night include: UNC-Charlotte, Eastern Carolina, NC A&T, University of South Carolina, Georgia Southern, NC State, UNC-Asheville, Duke, Clemson, and The Citadel. Over 140 junior and senior level students are expected to be in attendance.

SAE members and retirees can secure tickets for $20; non-members can secure tickets for $25; and students are provided with free admittance. Sponsorships are available from $250 to $2,000.
