Reality AI wins the 2021 “Best of Sensors” Awards in the Automotive/Autonomous category for Automotive SWS – a supplementary collision avoidance sensor that uses sound. Automotive SWS uses AI with sound to detect and localize emergency vehicles, cars, and other road participants when they are too distant to see or are obstructed from view.
The Best of Sensors awards highlight cutting-edge advancements and achievements that are moving the sensors industry forward. Winners were announced during Sensors Converge, on September 22 in San Jose, CA.
“After reviewing all of the Best of Sensors award submissions, it is clear that the sensors industry continues to thrive with new, innovative solutions,” said Charlene Soucy, Senior Director, Sensors Converge. “The goal of our program is to honor and promote wide recognition of the industry’s most transformative technologies and teams. Congratulations to this year’s award winners.”
”We are very pleased that the sensors engineering community has chosen to recognize this new technology, enabled by Reality AI software and our hardware partner Infineon,” said Stuart Feffer, CEO of Reality AI. “Sensors Converge is the leading global expo for sensor technology, so this recognition means a lot.”
The awards program was created to spotlight the year’s best innovations, technologies, teams, and individuals in the sensors industry. Submissions were judged based on the value to the marketplace, the impact of the problems it solves or issues it addresses, and the uniqueness of the design. The judges for the Best of Sensors awards were Jack Gold, J. Gold Associates, LLC; Roger Grace, Roger Grace Associates; Matt Hamblen, Fierce Electronics; Catherine Liao, Blumio; and Brian Zahnstecher, PowerRox.
About Sensors Converge
For 36 years Sensors Expo & Conference has brought together the design engineering community to network, share ideas, and define the future roadmap for the sensors industry. In 2021, we’re excited to curate a live, in-person experience called Sensors Converge, where the industry can come together, safely, to collaborate and conduct business. Sensors Converge is part of the Fierce Technology Group, a division of Questex, which also produces the Best of Sensors Awards, Fierce Sensors, and daily content and newsletters on Fierce Electronics at www.fierceelectronics.com.
