Richard Dempsey, ALC, Earns National Association of Realtors CIPS Designation

Richard Dempsey, ALC, a Senior Advisor at SVN | Saunders Ralston Dantzler Real Estate, recently earned a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).

Dempey’s first real estate transaction involved a family from Guyana and throughout his career, he has served numerous international clients. A recent trip to Dubai highlighted the fact that Florida has become one of the most desirable real estate markets in the world.

“People from all over the world are moving here and they all have their own expectations and methods of doing business,” Dempsey said. “Pursuing the CIPS designation was a natural step to take.”

CIPS designees receive training in the special needs and expectations of international clients Additionally, they are a community of real estate professionals that provide help and referrals to each other.

Richards’s real estate career began in 1984 as an appraiser for the Polk County Property Appraiser’s Office. For thirteen years, he was a state certified general appraiser with an agricultural lender, appraising a wide variety of properties. Having sales and appraisal experience throughout Florida, Richard is knowledgeable about the diverse aspects of today’s real estate market.
