Hector Sylvester is a Thirty-nine-year-old Entrepreneur, running his own Garage Door Service, “Rockstar Garage Door Services of San Diego.” Not only did he earned a name for his company in this industry, but he also turned it into one of the Top-rated Garage Repair Services in San Diego in just five years.

So, how did he achieve this feat in such a short time? Hector himself shares his intriguing journey.

“I started working at a young age with my uncles learning how to frame and build homes. I started learning directly from them in the residential framing trades,” Hector says. He worked with them on and off for many years, honing his skills. He also attended technical training to learn every aspect of the job.

When the construction industry slowed down, he worked in the Music Store, simultaneously maintaining other jobs in the customer service field. It was around this time he played for some rock groups. “I always had a passion for music. I have played for a couple of rock groups in and around San Diego,” he smiled broadly.

The start:

“I worked for another garage door company for several years until they decided to move out of the State. I stuck around with them for a while, travelling to different cities that were struggling and build them back up to get them back on track,” he explains.

He always knew he wanted to start his own business at some point, but wasn’t sure when. So when his wife got pregnant with their first and only daughter, he decided it was the right time to get his state license and start his own company.
