Industry: Entertainment

Bringing a Smooth Jazz/Pop groove, in time for the spring and summer.

New York, NY (PRUnderground) May 4th, 2020

For many years, singer Roy Hamilton, Jr. has been keeping the legacy of his late father Roy Hamilton alive – thanks to tribute performances of the elder’s works (pop classics such as “Don’t Let Go” and “You Can Have Her” come to mind).  Most recently, Roy Jr. has taken a current direction with his own music, thanks to his new release, “Butterfly”.

Available now on iTunes, Amazon and all streaming platforms, “Butterfly” is a smooth, mid-tempo jazzy R&B track with Roy Jr’s mellow voice riding the groove. The single is the first release from his upcoming album, with a release date of summer, 2020. “Butterfly” is the perfect chill-out tune for music lovers to enjoy for any time of day. As one reviewer raved, “Roy, Jr. has blazed his own trail over the past several years and ‘Butterfly’ is the icing on the cake.”

Besides touring the country from Atlantic City to Los Angeles, Roy Jr. released the singles, “It’s Me.,” “Man Up In The Sky” and “One Thousand Ways” –as well as the album, Legacy. In addition, Roy made cameo appearances in movies such as “Standing Ovation” and was interviewed in the BBC documentary, “The Rebirth of the King” – discussing his late father’s connection with Elvis Presley. Roy Jr. has hosted his own stage shows in Las Vegas as well as participated in events hosted by Sherry Gordy, daughter of Motown Records founder, Berry Gordy.
