Couples therapy center adds new therapist and video-conferencing options.

Tacoma, WA (PRUnderground) February 12th, 2019

Ryan Therapy Services, a couples therapy center that serves Gig Harbor and the Tacoma metro area, is expanding in 2019. With the addition of a new on-staff therapist and tele-therapy services, the office is fulfilling its mission: Envision. Heal. Transform.

Tele-therapy is a form of secure, confidential video conferencing that allows people to experience therapy sessions regardless of their physical location. It’s ideal for people with severe time limitations, long commutes, mobility issues, active military deployments, and fears about meeting with a therapist face-to-face.

A tele-therapy session is especially helpful for couples who are struggling with intimacy issues. Through video conferencing, they can discuss intimate relationship concerns with their therapist without leaving the comfort of their home.

Rounding out the services provided by Ryan Therapy is the addition of new therapist Crystal Cressey, MA LMFT. Crystal received specialized training in The Gottman Method and The Developmental Model for Couples at the Couples Institute in Menlo Park, Calif. Ryan Therapy’s founder and director, Jane Ryan, is thrilled to have Cressey on board.

“I have known Crystal for nine years and during that time have witnessed her growth and development into an excellent therapist,” Ryan said. “She is a therapist who specializes in helping couples envision the relationship they desire, heal the pain of misunderstanding, hurt and betrayal, and transform their relationship in one that is vibrant and thriving.”

The addition of Cressey to the therapy team, in conjunction with launching tele-therapy, is part of Ryan Therapy’s mission to expand their services and help more people in the greater Tacoma area. To learn more about their services, visit ryancouplestherapy.com.

Jane Ryan founded Ryan Therapy Services after receiving her Masterʼs Degree from the Pacific Lutheran University Marriage and Family Therapy program in 1998. The three-person Ryan Therapy staff also includes Ambree Kartes and Crystal Cressey. With a focus on couples counseling, Ryan Therapy helps clients heal emotional wounds and nurture relationships.
