Sadigh Gallery Organizes Food Delivery via Jewish Charity in New York

Industry: Food & Drink

Sadigh Gallery, a dealer of ancient art, is helping to organize good delivery to the needy through the Jewish charity organization Tomchei Shabbos.

Manhattan, NY (PRUnderground) January 10th, 2018

Sadigh Gallery, a renowned ancient art dealer with a long history in Manhattan, is starting the new year off by helping to feed those with the greatest needs in the Big Apple.

Michael Sadigh, who owns the New York gallery, will help to organize the delivery of food to the needy through a Jewish charity organization called Tomchei Shabbos. In addition, most importantly, the art dealer will help with the multifaceted referral process. This process involves locating and then vetting those who will benefit from these charity efforts.

The recipients of the food delivery may include a woman whose husband has left, thus forcing her to care for their children alone. Other recipients might include elderly couples with limited pensions, or families where the primary breadwinners unexpectedly lost their jobs. Families where diseases and other illnesses have drained their resources will be included in the charity effort as well. The greatest common factor among all of the recipients of the food-based aid will be need.

Sadigh will also include religious-themed artifacts with the delivery of food. These items may range from menorahs to Mezuzahs and books and scrolls featuring prayers found in the Torah. By including both food and these artifacts in his deliveries, Sadigh said he hopes not only to strengthen the physical bodies of those facing situations of despair but also to lift their spirits and give them hope in the new year.
