San Francisco Mural Artist Hayley Ferreira Offers Holiday Cheer With Colors for Kids

Hayley and the non-profit organization Colors for Kids aims to bring holiday cheer to the Bay Area this year with a joyful mural celebration.

Hayley Ferriera is a mural painter known locally in the San Francisco Bay Area as The Bay Area Muralist. For over 20 years Hayley Ferreira has been painting murals throughout the Bay Area including working for some of the leading companies in California. Working closely with small businesses The Bay Area Muralist Hayley Ferreira has witnessed first hand the devastation caused to local San Francisco small businesses from the pandemic.
In the beginning of 2020, Hayley Ferreira established the non profit organization Colors For Kids. The mission of Colors for Kids is to bring healing and inspiration to kids in children’s hospitals, juvenile detention centers and within low funded public schools. Growing up in foster care, Hayley decided to start Colors for Kids due to her experience as a child neglected from art to help her cope and heal with her own trauma.
“I know first hand what it is like to be a child raised in the foster system. Over the years, painting murals in community spaces dedicated to children, it would break my heart when I would learn that a space could not afford the cost of a mural installation. Oftentimes it was the space that needed the mural most like a low-income school or children’s hospital.” Hayley Ferreira said.
Hayley and the non-profit organization Colors for Kids aims to bring holiday cheer to the Bay Area this year with a joyful mural celebration. Partnering alongside a select group of local San Francisco businesses and institutions, the mural artists of Colors for Kids will paint murals across the Bay Area promoting community, goodwill and the importance of buying locally throughout 2022.
