Saunders Real Estate Reports Quarter 1 Sales Over $23 Million

Brokerage Reaches $2.5 Billion in Total Sales Since 1996

Saunders Real Estate (SRE) brokered a total of $23,323,633 in sales in the first quarter of 2019 for 6,932 ± acres, bringing total transactions for the brokerage since its founding to more than $2.5 billion.

The sales included properties in Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jefferson, Lake, Levy, Marion, Osceola, Pasco, Polk, Sarasota and St. Lucie counties.

Q1 2019 SALES

Dade City Residential Acreage – This property in Pasco County was listed and sold by David Hitchcock and Clay Taylor. The 89 ± acre property is cleared land ready for development and sold for $455,000.

Big Bass Retreat – Paul J. Meador and Sara E. Catlett listed this 56 ± acre property in Fort Meade. The beautiful getaway property with a spring fed 30-feet-deep lake filled with trophy bass sold for $605,000.

Godwin Road Acreage – This 18 ± acre property consists of cleared land adjacent on two sides to the National Wildlife Refuge in Frostproof. Richard Dempsey listed the agricultural property which sold for $135,000.

Jumpie Run Plantation (partial) – Located in Monticello, this is a beautiful legacy property owned by the same family since the 1920’s. The 2,644 ± acre property was available in three tracts. Listed by Dean Saunders, Jack Vogel and Bryant Peace. Two of the three tracts have sold, including about 600 acres sold recently for about $1.4 million. Frostproof Grove – David Hitchcock and Clay Taylor listed this 1 ± acre tract in Polk County which sold for $39,208.

Lake Griffin PUD – Co-listed by David Hitchcock and Clay Taylor, this 24 ± acre property in Lake County sold for $560,000.

Johnston Grove – The property is a 72 ± acre citrus grove located in the Orange Avenue Citrus Growers Association in St. Lucie County. It was listed and sold by Jeff Cusson for $275,000.

Lake Wales 80 Acre Orange Grove – Located on a paved road just two miles from Walmart, this 80 ± acre grove is being used to grow Valencia and Hamlin Oranges. David Hitchcock and Clay Taylor listed the property which they sold for $412,500.

208 S Wiggins Road – This 8 ± acre property in Hillsborough County is a former commercial palm tree nursery which includes an equestrian-friendly home. It was co-listed and sold by David Hitchcock and Clay Taylor for $525,000.

Deems Landing – This 15 ± acre residential development tract in the rapidly-growing area of Leesburg sold for $648,000. It was listed and sold by David Hitchcock and Clay Taylor.

Deen Still 350 – Britt Peace sold this 350 ± acre property in Polk County for $2,450,000.

334 Commerce Court – This .33 ± acre property in Winter Haven was sold by Richard Dempsey for $208,000.

SR Timberlands and Davidson Road Hunting – Davidson Road Hunting is 39 ± acres of available land perfect for a hunting camp. It was listed by Greg Driskell and Debbie Banks and sold along with another property, SR Timberlands, for a total acreage of 110 ± for $239,448.

15838 Orange Ave – This .77 ± acre property in St. Lucie County was listed by Jeff Cusson and sold for $265,000.

Babson Park Former Citrus Nursery – Carson Futch listed this 21 ± acre property on the southeast side of Lake Wales. The property includes greenhouses and homes with potential for rental income, and was sold by Richard Dempsey for $238,000.

Hidden Creek – Jeff Cusson co-brokered the sale of this 535 ± acre property in Highlands County for $3,500,000.

Lake Wales Grove and Homesite (partial) – Sold by Britt Peace, this property was co-listed with Dean Saunders and Trent Saunders. Ocklawaha River Preserve Parcel 2 – This property includes multiple parcels totaling 1,049 ± acres in eastern Marion County. Listed by Dean Saunders and David Hitchcock, a 20 ± acre parcel was sold by David Hitchcock and Keat Waldron for $70,000. More available parcels can be viewed at sreland.com/OcklawahaRiver.

Green Meadow – Easily accessible from the Orlando and South Florida markets, Green Meadow is an ideal recreational property in Okeechobee. The 445 ± acre property was listed by Jeff Cusson and sold by Carson Futch for $2,050,000.

Sandy Gully – Dean Saunders and Trent Saunders secured a conservation easement on this 3,217 ± acre property in Highlands County for $5,510,407. Originally a dairy operation, the property was transitioned to a cattle operation in 2002.

Hidden Road Grove 10 – Listed by Christy Kurtz-Clark and Chris Settineri, this 9 ± acre property in Lake County was sold by Carson Futch for $99,000.

Pearce Road – This 43 ± acre property in Polk County was listed by David Hitchcock and Clay Taylor and sold for $825,000.

Berkley Ranch Development – David Hitchcock and Clay Taylor listed this 19 ± acre property in Polk County which sold for $1,500,000.

Early Bird Ranch – Located right in the middle of horse country, this 179 ± acre property is located close to the World Equestrian Center and the Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club. Co-listed by Greg Driskell and Debbie Banks, it was sold for $1,000,000.
