Smart VAs Announces One Bag One Love Outreach Initiative in The Philippines On July 25

Smart VAs is announcing One Bag One Love on July 25, its first-ever outreach initiative in The Philippines.
One Bag One Love is a dedicated day to distribute grocery bags and sanitary kits to underserved people, particularly those who are homeless and living under bridges in metropolitan areas of The Philippines.
Smart VAs’ Founder & CEO, Kristy Yoder, is inviting corporate sponsors to support the cause. The organization has already raised nearly 75% of the funds, and is looking to businesses, particularly those owned and operated by, or serving Filipinos, to donate as well. Each grocery bag will contain canned goods, rice, noodles, ready-to-eat foods, and sanitary kits containing hand sanitizer and face masks. One Bag One Love is seeking to distribute a minimum of 100 bags. The organization is allocating $10 to fill each bag.
Yoder says because she and many of her team members are from The Philippines, it’s important to them to give back to their own community. “It’s my goal to be in a position to help my fellow citizens in The Philippines,” she says, “since I know how it feels to live in a developing nation. Now that I’m blessed to be in the United States, I want to share those blessings with others.”
”This is not just a one-time outreach initiative,” says. “Our plans call for similar outreach in December, during the Christmas season.”
