Industry: Travel & Leisure

We delve into the life and times of the man that is Ted Stourton. The man who dared to dream.

Cornwall, UK (PRUnderground) November 8th, 2013

If the pen is mightier than the sword, and a picture paints a thousand words: What would happen if a painter uses his brush to communicate images of hope and inspiration? That was the question that one rising British artist asked himself while taking in the extraordinary beauty of a sea landscape one afternoon a few years ago.

As a young child, Ted Stourton fell in love with the work of the Impressionists. He knew it was his destiny, and followed in the dream of becoming an artist.

1999 was the year that saw Ted add another string to his bow when, along with close friends John and Irina Mappin, he became the co-owner of the Camelot Castle Hotel in Tintagel, Cornwall.

Stourton devotes a great deal of time and personal resources to helping fellow artists. The co-owner of Camelot Castle in Tintagel, Ted Stourton has made his home at Camelot Castle and invites artists of every discipline to work in the peace and tranquillity of this magnificent Cornish retreat. Ted Stourton is always available and always ready to impart his knowledge and advice to artists and creative minds.

The Stourton collection at Camelot is one of the largest, most beautiful, varied and numerous collections of an artist’s work anywhere in the world which has seen him become a famous sought-after painter.

Currently, a permanent exhibition of nearly 1000 original paintings by Stourton can be seen at Camelot Castle where the artist currently has his studios and works.

Ted is not only an artist with the brush, but an artist in the discipline of music too. You can hear his releases here:
