The Arise Society, a young adult transition program based in Orem, Utah, has named Adam Miner as Director of Business Development. With nearly two decades of experience supporting adolescents and young adults in therapeutic, academic, and transitional settings, Miner brings both relationship-centered leadership and strategic growth experience to the program as it expands its impact.

A Strategic Hire With Deep Roots in the Field

The Arise Society supports young adults who are working to regain momentum in college, relationships, and independent living.  Through a personalized blend of academic integration at Utah Valley University, therapeutic support, and real-world life skills coaching, students build confidence while staying connected to a structured mentor community that provides guidance around the clock. As The Arise Society enters a new phase of growth, Miner will lead efforts to strengthen the partnerships, enrollment strategy and operational alignment that allow the program to reach more young adults and families.

In his role as Director of Business Development, Miner will focus on strategic priorities that support Arise’s continued growth and access for families:

  • Building referral and consultant partnerships to expand the program’s reach
  • Clarifying program value and market positioning for families and professionals
  • Supporting enrollment strategy and partnership pipelines
  • Aligning internal l teams to connect strategy with day-to-day execution

The Right Background for This Work

Miner holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and an MBA–a combination that shapes both his relationship-centered leadership and his strategic approach to growth.  That dual foundation aligns closely with a program where clinical care and real-world outcomes go hand in hand.

He has held leadership roles across therapeutic and academic settings, including serving as the CEO of Corner Canyon Health Centers, Executive Director of Telos U, and as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing. He has also contributed to nonprofit leadership efforts, including serving as Vice President of Youth Champions Charity, and was recognized as an MBA Outstanding Alumnus by Utah Valley University.

At The Arise Society, Miner works closely with educational consultants, clinicians, and referral partners to strengthen the relationships that allow the program to serve more students.

“Adam brings exactly the kind of leadership we’ve been looking for,” said Dr. Vaughn Heath, Founder and CEO of The Arise Society. “He understands the value of relationships, and he knows how to build the systems that allow a mission-driven program to grow sustainably. His background in both psychology and business development is a rare combination, and exactly what this program needs at this stage.”

Motivated by Student Success

Miner believes growth happens most naturally in communities that balance accountability with belonging. That philosophy aligns directly with The Arise Society’s relationship-based model.

“What drew me to The Arise Society was the depth of care behind everything they do,” said Miner. “These young adults deserve real support, an environment where they can rebuild momentum, and start trusting themselves again. I’m here to make sure more families can find this program. Building the right partnerships and systems means this team can keep doing what they do best.”

Miner lives in Utah County with his wife and children. Outside of work, he enjoys photography, creative storytelling, and time in the mountains. To learn more about the program, visit thearisesociety.com or call (801) 300–9995.
