The new Ford Mondeo was recently unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show 2012; attendees to the motor show got a chance to catch a glimpse of both a hatchback and estate version. The 2013 Mondeo was just one of many new Ford cars for sale that the motoring giant unveiled at the show, including many new designs, plus modified and hybrid versions of popular Ford models.

The new Ford Mondeo was recently unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show 2012; attendees to the motor show got a chance to catch a glimpse of both a hatchback and estate version. The 2013 Mondeo was just one of many new Ford cars for sale that the motoring giant unveiled at the show, including many new designs, plus modified and hybrid versions of popular Ford models.
The Mondeo, which goes under the name of the Ford Fusion in America, will have some different features to that of its counterparts in the states. One of the main cosmetic differences will be its door mirrors; this is due to safety legislation, meaning the mirrors will be much shorter and deeper than the American versions.
One immediate feature that you will notice on the 2013 Ford Mondeo is its flush-mounted Ford Logo badge, just one more very sophisticated touch to the vehicle. Also, a new seating design within the Mondeo offers the driver even more legroom, and, in keeping with Ford’s infotainment advances, you will find a 20cm colour touch-screen on the dashboard that controls everything from interior climate to in-car entertainment.
Many motoring experts have already given the Ford 2013 Mondeo the thumbs up, with respected names such as TopGear commenting upon it saying ‘it isn’t merely an update; it’s an all new car’.
The car is expected to go on sale in the UK during March 2013, it has also been mentioned that European models will contain different materials, metallic trim and higher grade plastics are just two differences announced so far.
