The Young Americans, Inc. Meet Organizational Growth With Board Member Changes

The Young Americans Inc., leading performing arts non-profit based in Southern California, announced today the appointment of William (Bill) Demmer to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Other Board changes include the resignation of Susie Johnson as a 30-year board member and Cameron D. Coy 25 year board member and treasurer.  Susie Johnson will now serve full-time on staff, as Director of Michigan Projects and Cameron Coy will remain full-time staff as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Demmer received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.  He currently serves as CEO of Demmer Holdings, a group of companies located in Michigan, Minnesota, South Dakota, Colorado, and Mexico.  All companies produce complex metal components for the aerospace, chemical and computer industries.  Mr. Demmer is also President and CEO of Demmer Properties, Airport Realty, Demmer Engineering and River Caddis Development, LLC.  The combined companies employ over 1,200 people.

Based in northern Michigan, the Demmer family is a long-time supporter of The Young Americans and several generations now hold an incredible fondness for the organization and its cast members. “Having been inspired by the Young Americans for over 40 years I am thrilled to be a part of their future.” Says Demmer. It’s such an exciting time for them as an organization and I’m honored to help any way I can.”

Bill Demmer will join, Phil Lisle (President), Drew McGarity (Treasurer and Secretary), Vanessa Brown, Mindy Broadley, Dan Bower and William Kerry as members of the Board.
