The pioneering fist-based thermal scanner FeverWarn, launched by MachineSense in early March, 2020, has now obtained GSA approval and is available for purchase via GSA’s marketplace on GSA Advantage! FeverWarn by MachineSense is currently available to the federal government and other eligible entities on Winvale’s GSA Schedule GS-35F-0074S.

FeverWarn is no ordinary thermal scanner for simple fever screening. It provides accurate infrared measurement that is FDA compliant, facilitates non-contact, self-service thermal scanning, can be retro-fitted for triggering operations of auxiliary doors and gates, and offers cloud-based data compliance for legal protection.

“We are pleased at the rapid GSA approval of FeverWarn and its availability in the GSA marketplace since it is well-timed to the re-opening of state and federal facilities as well as schools and educational institutions,” said Conrad Bessemer, the Chairman and Co-Founder of MachineSense. “FeverWarn’s unique fist-based thermal scanning approach has found wide acceptance in a short period of three months and we received many inquiries from government organizations who are restricted to buying only from the GSA marketplace”, added Bessemer.

MachineSense is partnering with Winvale, a government contracts consulting firm and GSA contractor, to provide FeverWarn to government buyers.

“During a pandemic or even cold/flu season, the IoT is becoming a critical tool in the fight against contagion spread,” said Jeff Vittone, President of Winvale. “MachineSense’s partnership with Winvale is bringing science, data, and entry control to solve the spread of contagions for government and defense agencies. FeverWarn technology is a game changer for government buildings, airports, schools–you name it.”

“We take particular pride in the fact that this thermal scanner is entirely designed and produced in the United States and after-sales support is 100% US-based,” said Dr. Biplab Pal, Ph.D., the Co-Founder and CTO of MachineSense. “Machinesense has applied for a patent for FeverWarn as a thermal scanning system that delivers low-cost, faster scanning of infrared body temperatures which many believe is a gamechanger in slowing down any epidemic by isolating people with fever from public places,” Pal added.

Customers of the GSA marketplace have very few choices when it comes to fever screening or thermal scanning systems. A simple search on GSAadvantage.gov throws up very few viable options. With the availability of FeverWarn on GSA Advantage, an essential tool of business reopening now becomes available to government entities.
