Graham Taylor, PsyD, Chief Learning Officer of Triad Behavioral Health, is set to present at the upcoming Hawaii Psychology Association (HPA) Annual Conference on October 26, 2018. Dr. Taylor will deliver the presentation in tandem with Dr. Lawrie A. Ignacio, a licensed clinical psychologist and faculty member at the Hawai’i School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University.
The topic of the breakout session, which is a competency-based extension of their presentation at the American Psychological Association Annual Conference in August of this year, is titled The Nuts and Bolts of Intensive Psychodynamic Psychotherapy with Couples: A Workshop. The class will explore the complexities of working with couples psychodynamically as a co-therapist team. Using a carefully designed case example, the participants will learn a method of discovering and working with the unmet core needs that underlie many of the conflicts that couples come into therapy to resolve.
