This Houston Department Store Continues Gifting All 2021 After Gifting to Teyana Taylor & Offset Event
Houston, Texas (PRUnderground) January 5th, 2021
Patri’cia Martin, owner of the Texas based department store, Tricies is taking a bolder route to make her business grow. In 2020 the black business owner was forced to close down her physical boutique location while maintaining the business, and making the move to ecommerce department store. This has allowed more money in the Tricies budget to expand in different areas of the business. With the newfound budget Patri’cia (Tricies) made the decision to give gifts to celebrities at A-list events in hopes of marking her territory as ‘The Black Owned Department’ store.
Tricies’ first exclusive gifting event was for Teyana Taylor & Offset held back in December 2020, where she decided to treat party attendees to full size samples of a department store product owned by KC Cosmetics, another Houston based brand. Looking forward, the owner would love to offer gifts at more exclusive A-list events. Patri’cia states, “I never limit myself or lose faith… I would love to add gifts to Megan Thee Stallion or Da Baby events.”
She admits gifting at celebrity events was a bold move, however Patricia looks forward to growing her business with community in mind, “Our long-term goal is to be able to provide work for black men, women, and teens”. Tricies will be at more events for 2021, and excited to take in more opportunities.
