“Coming here is like a vacation in and of itself,” Mr. McKanna says, “because guests can escape the modern world if they’d like, and be immersed in so much natural beauty all around them.” Guests can enjoy being nestled back in the woods, and take advantage of the nature, birds, and abundant wildlife. Guests can also walk the property or relax on the large, covered front porch.

Twin River Cottage is a rural getaway that’s still close to civilization. Nearby, guests can dine in one of many delicious restaurants, as well as shop in adorable little boutiques. Twin River Cottage is right down the street from Purina Farms, a family-friendly attraction in operation for more than 90 years. Flags is only 15 minutes away, and downtown St. Louis is within a half-hour.

The cottage, located just seven minutes from the quaint main street of downtown Eureka, is perched on a private, one-acre, fenced-in lot. There is a gate at the end of the drive way for maximum privacy and peace of mind. The large deck has several chairs and two large fans for cooling off during the summer. The yard is fenced in and surrounded by bushes for added privacy.

One guest said, “The yard was fantastic, loved the porch and porch swings.” Another added, “The lovely hanging plants and bird feeders added to the porch’s charm as we watched the hummingbirds.”

The master bedroom features a queen size bed and beautiful view of the property. The other bedroom has two twin beds. Also included is a trifold twin mattress, for extra sleeping accommodations. The living room, full of natural light, features two comfortable couches, one of which doubles as an extra sleeping space.

McKanna also adds that Twin River Cottage is pet-friendly.
