Crowdfunding campaign will raise funds and awareness for UWroteIt, a never-ending talent search for artists around the world

MOBILE, ALABAMA (PRUnderground) May 12th, 2016

UWroteIt has announced the launch of a Kickstarter campaign that aims to raise funds and awareness for the platform.

UWroteIt is a worldwide, never-ending talent search for artists of all kinds, including writers, musicians, singers, models, poets, and painters. Via the social media platform, talented people can showcase their strengths while enjoying the opportunity to win money and prizes to further develop and explore their talents.

At UWroteIt, artists will be able to upload short stories, poems, novels, pictures, or video. Members will vote on other members’ works, and winners will receive prizes per prize periods. “The object of the site is to get members to vote on each other’s work by giving between 1 and 5 stars per vote. The writing, picture, or video that has the highest number of stars at the end of the day, week, or month will win the prize for that prize period,” said the UWroteIt team.

According to UWroteIt, the more members, the more winners will receive. Once someone has won, they aren’t eligible to win for six months, and only members can win.

People who become members will also have exclusive access to the UWroteIt Wish Board, where they can wish for something priced at $2000 or less that would help them or someone they know pursue their artistic dream. Wishes are granted in order, although some will be randomly chosen, and the section will become active when the site has enough membership to support regular prizes and the wish list.

UWroteIt will also feature a kids’ scholarship section where parents can register their children. Scholarships are awarded based on kids’ writing, videos, pictures, and more. “The money awarded as prizes will be deposited in the institution of the parent or guardian’s choosing to mature on the child’s 18th birthday with all interest going to the child to help cover any expenses for school or other applicable expenses,” said the UWroteIt team.

Membership is $3 per month and can be canceled at any time. “This site is meant to be a fun way for people to explore their gifts and talents but also a great way to reward yourself for sharing with the community,” said the UWroteIt team.

The creators of UWroteIt are thrilled to launch their crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The strong community at Kickstarter has shown enthusiasm for countless campaigns, and UWroteIt looks forward to interacting with supporters via Kickstarter.

UWroteIt stresses that their platform is designed for people from all walks of life. “We are a blank slate. Fill us with your talent, hopes, and dreams,” said their team. “UWroteIt is an ultimate social media site that brings the unlimited resources and possibilities that become available by linking together people from all walks of life and industry.”
