Philadelphia’s newest hotspot features nightlife, sports, and dining in a single contemporary setting

Vesper Sporting Club has announced their grand opening weekend, which will offer a schedule brimming with music, dining, and more.
The grand opening weekend will be held from Friday October 6 – 8, 2017. On Friday night guests can experience Vesper at Night featuring DJ Paul Castro. Saturday at 11am, starts Brunch Drunk Love a theatrical take on the party brunch concept with a weekly changing theme (October 7th theme is Down The Rabbit Hole, based on Alice in Wonderland). Later that Saturday evening, Vesper at Night returns featuring popular Philadelphia DJ duo Menace Cartel. On Sunday guests are invited to Bottomless Brunch where they can enjoy $25 bottomless mimosas while watching the Eagles vs Cardinals.
Weekly recurring events include happy hour (Monday through Friday from 5-7pm), nightlife on Fridays and Saturdays from 10pm-2am, and brunch starting at 11am on Sautrday and Sunday.
The original Vesper Club was founded more than a century ago as a social dining club that has been in this location since 1941. The Vesper Club was frequented by Mayor Frank Rizzo, mob boss Angelo Bruno, GOP boss Billy Meehan, former Eagles owner Leonard Tose and DJ Jerry Blavat. The Vesper Club was a social club for the rich and famous of Philadelphia. More business deals were closed in Vesper than anywhere else in the state.
Behind the new Vesper Sporting Club are nightlife and hospitality veterans Justin Jordan, Manny Romano, Ryan Featherman, and Danny Cardona formerly of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City (an MGM Resorts International Hotel) and Las Vegas nightlife behemoth Hakkasan Group. These partners have worked to open notable venues such as Premier Nightclub, HQ Nightclub, HQ Beach Club, and AC Daylife at the Chelsea Hotel. Tim Lu, who opened popular Philadelphia swim club Monarch, Crabby’s Sports Bar & Cafe, and Coreanos is on board, as well as Brendan Smith and John Barry of Smith’s Restaurant & Bar.
The new Philadelphia nightclub features nightlife, food, and sports in a single contemporary space that features 40+ 4k televisions, including the first its kind a 28-screen video wall in the main room, a downstairs speakeasy which is entered through a book case, bottle service, modern American cuisine, and handcrafted cocktails such as the Blue Vixen, The Vesper, and the Cadillac Margarita.
Menu items include starters such as mini chicken cheesesteaks, bacon & blue cheese brussel sprouts, sliders, house cut boardwalk fries, grilled flatbreads, bacon & goat cheese grilled cheese, charcoal grilled wings, and desserts including 6-layered chocolate cake and house-made seasonal sorbets. Shareable items are available for brunch such as a 3ft cheesesteak and the 5lb Porterhouse steak.
