Industry Certified: Journey to the Deal is a new reality series following eight musical artists and a crew of aspiring executives on their journey to success. With the support of music industry veteran, Rob Terell, the artists and their teams will learn how to navigate the uncertainties of the multi-billion dollar music industry. This is a never-before-seen look inside the lives of rising artists and music execs as they strive for a major record deal.
The show reveals the real-life difficulties and experiences the artists and their teams face together. Both are equally determined to build a successful music brand and make it in the industry. Acknowledging the struggle from both sides, the show encapsulates the heart, spirit and soul of the independent artist grind.
Eight up-and-coming artists are selected to travel to Atlanta and work with industry experts, like Rob Terell and his artist development team at Wealth Nation. Special celebrity guests will make appearances to assist the artists in brand development as they prepare for a major label distribution deal with Sony Music Group. Viewers are invited to join in the journey and vote on who should win each challenge the artists participate in each week. It’s “Making the Band,” meets “American Idol,” meets “I Want to Work with Diddy.”
In collaboration with VH2 and 700 Films, Rob Terell is making his directorial debut and is also stepping up as writer and executive producer on the project. Rob is a celebrity business manager and music industry expert; he leads a legacy of global business entertainment, artist development and brand management. After ascending from unpaid intern to CEO, he’s earned a reputation as a business expert. Rob is affectionately known by friends and colleagues as THE OFFICIAL DEALMAKER. His expertise in the music industry will educate both the cast and audiences world-wide on how to take a dream of making it in the industry and turn it into a reality.
