Web Accessibility Solutions Provider accessiBe Releases Public Roadmap Outlining New Initiatives and Continued Focus on Increasing Accessibility Awareness

accessiBe, the market leader in web accessibility, announced today the launch of its public roadmap (https://accessibe.com/company/roadmap), which reflects the firm’s upcoming projects and its ambitious goal to make the web accessible by 2025.

To work towards this, the roadmap is built upon four main pillars: increasing awareness about the need for accessibility; developing opportunities for connections between people with disabilities and businesses; creating tools and services for developers and businesses; and engaging in open source and accessibility communities with accessible web standards and guidelines.

accessiBe recently raised $16 million with K1 Investment Management, an investment that completed its Series A financing round totaling $28 million. Following the completion of the funding, accessiBe published the roadmap to detail key initiatives for the remainder of 2021 and into Q1 2022.

The initiatives include the planned Q2 2021 completion of accessFind, the company’s consumer-centric product built for end users, in partnership with leading disability-focused nonprofit organizations. Following that, the company plans to announce multiple initiatives in Q3 2021, including accessScan, a free tool that developers, webmasters, and business owners can use to develop sites that are in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA success criteria. In Q1 2022, the company plans to launch accessCampus, an educational accessibility hub designed for engineers, business owners, and web designers to learn more about web accessibility and inclusion.
