WhosOnLocation visitor management application to support Te Reo Māori

Today, visitor management application WhosOnLocation announces a new addition to its Multi-Language offering – Te Reo Māori. The latest update to the application reflects the company’s New Zealand culture and heritage and follows the news of Auckland University of Technology’s research into the benefits of using Te Reo Māori in the workplace. 

This update comes as WhosOnLocation’s Multi-Language feature continues to rapidly grow and develop. Having launched a number of alternative languages in the application earlier this year, the ambition to reflect the company’s heritage with the addition of Te Reo soon became a priority.

Working with a Te Reo expert to translate the application has provided an insight into this expressive language. Over the course of the project, WhosOnLocation’s translator has carefully adapted the functional wording of a people presence management application into the poetic language of Te Reo.

In offering a bi-lingual Kiosk and Sign-In/Out Manager, New Zealand customers can now reflect the culture of their company’s country when welcoming visitors from all over the world. By supporting two of the official languages of Aotearoa, we can ensure we’re greeting visitors in their preferred tongue.
