Geneva, Switzerland (PRUnderground) February 23rd, 2016
The World Council of Churches is highly regarded as an important and vital connection of East with West, most particularly concerning the sharing of the Word of God. As part of their ongoing effort and love for the many nations in the East, Dr. Peniel Rajkumar, Programme Executive for Inter-Religious Dialogue and Cooperation, oversees this important course that joins young Christian leaders yearning to spread God’s Word with churches throughout the Asian continent. Their mission is as simple as it is important: deliver the Gospel for Asia’s many citizens who yearn for its valuable message.
Beginning on 29 May and running until 11 June in Jakarta, India, 2016, this class is already filling up and may soon meet its maximum limit of 32 participants; in order to qualify for this important spiritual experience, interested students must be between the age of 20 to 35 years. It is anticipated that enrolled students will demonstrate a broad representation of the WCC member churches in Asia.
These upcoming church leaders will be introduced to a curriculum that embraces various learning styles, such as experiential, interactive, and intercultural, with a specific goal of attaining conditions of justice and peace from an inter-religious point of view.
Additional information concerning YATRA, including enrollment applications, may be found on the WCC website.
