Yubi Beauty launched an innovative new line of cosmetic brushes at the Indie Beauty Expo. Named by Cosmetics Design as one of the stand out products of the event, Deanna Utroske, editor of the publication hailed Yubi as a new brand “singlehandedly” changing the beauty tools market, writing “it’s not often that something truly new comes to market”.
Yubi’s founder Adiya Dixon Wiggins discussed the inspiration behind the launch “Makeup application has become more ubiquitous, individualized and democratic. While we have seen major strides in formula development, there has been almost no innovation in makeup tools. Traditional make-up brushes are not practical for today’s busy women, they’re a pain to travel with and fingertip application can be messy. As a practicing attorney and mother of two, my mornings were, put mildly, frantic, no matter how early I woke up. Fingertips were too messy and make-up brushes were not practical for my lifestyle on-the-go, and so with the encouragement of my husband and a basement full of prototypes I designed my own solution – a fingertip application brush that delivered a flawless finish without the fuss. From this brush, the Yubi Beauty brand was born, and while I still can’t find my shoes most days, my makeup is always on point!
