Zerorez Exceeds Goal In ZeroHunger Food Drive for Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina

Raleigh carpet cleaning company collects 1,300 pounds of food for food drive.

Zerorez of North Carolina conducted a successful food drive in November on behalf of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. The ZeroHunger food drive yielded 1,300 pounds of non-perishable food, exceeding the set goal of 1,000 pounds. Throughout November Zerorez carpet cleaning technicians collected non-perishable foods from customers and later delivered to the Food Bank.
“We’re grateful to partner with the Food Bank Of Central & Eastern North Carolina and pleased we could help them in their mission. We’re humbled by our customer’s generosity and thankful they helped us exceed our goal,” said Richard Averitte, marketing director for ZeroRez North Carolina.
Established in 1980, the Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for people at risk of hunger in 34 counties for 30 years. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and programs for children and adults through distribution centers in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, the Sandhills (Southern Pines) and Wilmington.
