San Francisco, CA (PRUnderground) November 10th, 2023

Teresa L’Heureux, an accomplished animal rescuer, fitness professional, and a Certified Domestic Violence Advocate, is pleased to announce the release of her inspirational book, “My Rock My Hard Place.” This powerful new book sheds a rare light on the realities of domestic violence through Teresa’s unique experience as a high-level women’s strength and fitness athlete. The interest in the new book is high with it already winning an Honorable Mention in two categories at the 2023 Bookfest Awards for Self-Help-Transformation and Self-Help-Motivation.

Teresa L’Heureux’s story takes readers on a shocking journey, providing a raw and honest look at her life as a victim of domestic violence and what it took for her to escape this painful real life prison. As a powerlifter and bodybuilder, Teresa’s physical strength made many doubtful she could be subject to physical and mental abuse. As the book unfolds, the insidious mind control tactics she suffered become clear, revealing how victims are often trapped before they realize what is happening.

Domestic violence takes many forms, and Teresa experienced them all. Through her personal experience and the stories of other survivors, she explores the prevalence of abuse and the devastating impact it can have on its victims. “My Rock My Hard Place” is a poignant reminder that domestic violence knows no boundaries, affecting individuals from all walks of life.

Teresa’s journey of healing and transformation led her to create “Survive Rise to Thrive LLC.” Alongside five other survivor coaches, she facilitates in-person and virtual workshops, in-person retreats, and motivational speaking engagements. As a Master Life Coach, she is committed to helping others find their inner strength and emerge from the shadows of abuse. Recently, she established the SRT Foundation, a non-profit organization that enables her to apply for grants and receive donations to support victims and survivors directly.

Additionally, Teresa is dedicated to assisting victims’ pets through foster and board programs, ensuring that every family member, including the four-legged ones, can escape abusive situations safely. She emphasizes the importance of asking for help, stating that it doesn’t signify weakness but, rather, the first step on the path to becoming strong.

Teresa’s book, “My Rock My Hard Place,” serves as a beacon of hope for those who have experienced domestic violence and for their loved ones seeking to support their recovery. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience and the capacity for transformation.
