DNE Allocates Extra Paid Vacation Time During Summer Months to Team Members
Commercial energy management company to grant team members three bonus paid days off during the summer.
Quebec, Canada (PRUnderground) May 23rd, 2023
A leading energy management firm serving companies in North America, DNE prioritizes the health and well-being of its employees. Their generous paid time off policy grants new employees 27 paid days of leave annually, which increases the longer an employee stays with the company. In alignment with past years and to allow everyone more time with friends and family this summer, DNE plans to observe three additional paid days off during the summer months.
Founded to assist clients in taking control of their energy, DNE has become one of the largest energy management consulting firms. The company specializes in helping companies assess their energy consumption and expenditures and recommending strategies to reduce their spending and decrease their carbon footprint. While energy procurement and management are central to business at DNE, doing the right thing for their customers, community, and employees are also key components.
“Our team at DNE is dedicated to their jobs and providing our customers with the best service possible,” stated co-founder and CRO of DNE Steve Shoiry, “At DNE, we know how important it is to the physical and mental health of our team members to spend some time away from work, especially while the weather is nice and the kids are out of school. DNE is excited to create this opportunity for everyone to have more time to make memories and enjoy the warmer summer weather with their loved ones.”
DNE consistently strives to create a virtuous cycle by giving back to its community. Each year they donate (whichever is greater) 0.5% of their revenue or 5% of their net income to their Social Impact Fund. In the past, local animal shelters, youth centers, and food drives have been beneficiaries of this fund. Through their efforts, DNE hopes to inspire others to give back to the community and be generous with their employees.
“We hope that the extra Mondays we schedule off for our team this summer will open up opportunities for vacations, outdoor activities with friends, or polishing off that new deck in the backyard,” remarked Shoiry. “Every team member is valuable, from the energy consultants to the office staff, and if providing a few extra days off can make a difference to them, it is well worth it.”
Founded in 2009 by friends Wayne Burke and Steve Shoiry, DNE quickly earned recognition as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces in 2015. The company has maintained that designation for the past seven years.
