Le Plessis Robinson, France (PRUnderground) January 13th, 2020
Debut author L.N. Mayer announces the independent publication of her first upper middle-grade novel, TELL, OR THE ADVENTURES IN THEMIDDLE.
SYNOPSIS: William Teller Fontaine (‘Tell’) is an involuntary witness to an atrocious act, committed by a creature he’s never seen: a beast makes one of his peers at Theffects School for Troubled Boys disappear. When the school discharges Tell, it will take a series of adventures to find the beast, a creature that belongs to the most unlikely of children… himself. The book was independently published on January 10th, 2020, via IngramSpark and Kindle Direct Publishing. The eBook version of this coming-of-age fiction adventure will be subsequently rolled out to other retailers over the next month.
Says the author, “TELL, OR THE ADVENTURES IN THEMIDDLE is a coming-of-age novel about the power of imagination. It’s a story about finding resilience in impossible situations—situations where you believe you don’t have control and feel without a friend or parent to guide you. It’s also a story about feeling stuck in a world that doesn’t belong to you and neglecting your power, whatever power that may be. The ultimate lessons the story has to offer are about resilience, purpose, and trusting oneself.”
The book will be represented by FOREWORD REVIEWS at the American Library Association Midwinter Conference taking place in Philadelphia, PA January 24th–28th, 2020.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: L.N. Mayer was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. Mayer graduated from the University of Kansas, Phi Beta Kappa, with a degree in Economics and a minor in French. She has a master’s degree in Mathematical Models in Economics and Finance from the Sorbonne, as well as a master’s in Supply Chain Management from Université Paris Dauphine.
