JasonDavidNewton.com Launches New Blog on Faith, Fatherhood, and Pacific Northwest Life

Jason David Newton, a Mechanical Technician and lifelong Moses Lake, Washington resident, has launched a personal blog documenting real life in the Pacific Northwest. The blog, found at jasondavidnewton.com, covers Christian fatherhood, blue collar work, faith, and everyday life in Grant County, Washington.

Newton, who was born and raised in Moses Lake and attended Washington State University, brings over a decade of experience in industrial maintenance and maritime engineering to his writing. He currently works at a cutting edge advanced battery activated materials manufacturing facility in Moses Lake and is an active member of Grace Harvest Church in Moses Lake, WA.

“Moses Lake gets a bad rap sometimes from people who have never been here or only passed through on I-90,” said Newton. “I want to show what this community actually looks like from the inside. The people who show up for their kids, the faith that keeps families grounded, and the honest hard working life that most people in small towns are actually living.”

The blog features original articles on topics including single fatherhood, faith in everyday life, mechanical and maritime career experiences, and Pacific Northwest outdoor adventures. Recent posts include a personal reflection on taking his two year old son Ryker to Fire Department Story Time at the Moses Lake Public Library, and an honest account of what it means to raise a child in a small town with intention and purpose.

Newton said his goal is simple. “I write for the working dad who comes home from a long shift and still wants to be present for his kid. I write for the guy in the trades who has faith but doesn’t see himself represented anywhere online. Real life, no filter, from Moses Lake, Washington.”
