So&So (Symphony Orchestra & Select Others) is an independent symphonic society founded and managed by young folks throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area. So&So is committed to producing classical concerts for modern audiences. Known for its light-hearted tenor, and thoughtful stage design that defines the society’s unique style, So&So is breathing new life into traditional artistry by reviving the brilliance of composers and musicians who came before them. In its latest collection, Behind Closed Doors, So&So dives into one of the most celebrated composers of the 20th Century, with a specific focus on two of his string quartets. The name of the production comes from the secret setting in which they were premiered during the rule of Stalin.
