Next Chapters’ Authors Create First Crowdsourced Novel

“The Faith of Fire,” Created Collaboratively by Multiple Talented Storytellers

Next Chapters announced today the completion of its first crowdsourced novel, “The Faith of Fire,” written on its free writing platform by a dozen collaborating authors, editors, and storytellers.

“We are so very proud of our writing community and this fantastic achievement,” said Next Chapters founder Tim Vickey. “Writing a novel is hard, but these authors worked together to create an immersive story collaboratively.  This accomplishment proves that people from all walks of life can achieve their dream of telling great stories and becoming a published author.”

“Next Chapters made writing this novel so easy and fun,” said Dr. Trish Knight, who created the concept for The Faith of Fire and contributed several chapters.  “It was very enjoyable using their system to interact with other great writers, see everyone’s skills as the story developed, and write this book with a great community.”

Next Chapters is an online writer’s community allowing authors to contribute chapters to books in progress, either with the entire online community or a specific set of friends.  People with a story idea can create books on the platform, which are available for other users to submit subsequent chapters.  Once the story is completed, Next Chapters can publish and sell these books on behalf of the contributors, with profits from book sales paid to the authors.  Next Chapters is free to join and write, with dozens of novels in progress for authors to display and share their talent.

The Faith of Fire is a spiritual story focusing on a family challenged by loss after a tragic accident and their journey toward redemption and acceptance.
