Norwalk, CT (PRUnderground) July 7th, 2020
Northwest Nazarene University (NNU), a vibrant educational community in Nampa, Idaho, that instills habits of heart, soul, mind, and strength in each student, has selected Akademos to launch its new online bookstore to manage the school’s textbook adoptions and sales. The University’s 2,200 students will have access to a convenient, cost-effective, and efficient course materials solution in addition to their NNU Campus store this fall.
“We are excited to enhance our textbook offerings with Akademos’ technology,” said Steven Emerson, Vice President, NNU Finance and Operations. “By optimizing the textbook delivery both on-campus and online, we are able to offer NNU students the convenience and substantial costsavings of ordering and accessing course materials online while supporting their daily campus experience.”
By partnering with Akademos, the NNU Campus Store can significantly reduce the complexity of course materials management and redefine how they serve the campus community. The campus store will continue to offer NNU and athletics apparel, accessories, college supplies, and more. As an additional benefit, students can opt to have online bookstore orders shipped to campus for pickup at the Campus Store.
Starting in the Fall 2020 semester, Akademos will help students at the private Christian university save on course materials. The vast online selection includes new, used, eBook, and rental materials at significant savings, with 24x7x365 accessibility and free shipping on orders over $49. Additionally, the comprehensive Akademos platform will empower administrators with advanced and innovative tools for managing all aspects of course materials adoption. Faculty can compare prices while considering past adoption history, current selections, and recommendations. And real-time analytics features make it possible to track student purchasing and utilization, communicate with faculty and students via built-in notifications, and make changes at any time.
“We fully support the University in taking this innovative step to increase access and improve affordability while continuing to serve the on-campus needs of their students. NNU joins a growing number of universities who recognize the need to modernize their course materials platform,” said Raj Kaji, CEO, Akademos. “We’re delighted that after a thorough and competitive process, NNU has selected Akademos to support their mission and provide a course materials platform that will foster the success of administration, faculty, and students.”
