Pajamas for Peace Launches an Online Store for Pima Cotton Pajamas

Their mission is to empower others through products that promote peace. For every pajama sold, Pajamas for Peace will donate one pajama to shelters they have partnered with to help children, women, and families in need.

The items listed on their website are made of Pima cotton, grown in Peru. This is a higher-end type of cotton with a longer fiber than conventional cotton. The products made of it are soft to the touch, ultra-durable, and wrinkle-resistant. Another benefit is the 50% longer life expectancy these pajamas offer. Pajamas for peace is a brand with an inspiring mission. They want to spread peace and kindness one pajama at a time. Chandinie Francis, founder of Pajamas for Peace explains how the brand was actually born:

“I started Pajamas for Peace after feeling compelled to include my children in activities that promote peace and community service. I wanted to show them how their actions could help to make a difference in the lives of others.

In December 2014, I started to organize food and clothing drives with my children to donate to homeless shelters to teach them about service, about being connected to their community and to help them to understand how one small act of kindness can make a difference in the life of someone else.

Pajamas for Peace was born from the direct result of wanting to include my family in volunteering and service driven activities, from the desire to do good, to honor the lives of children and families, and to help those in need.

It is my sincere hope that Pajamas for Peace will serve as a platform to promote a message of peace and altruism and provide resources to shelters while raising awareness of issues surrounding poverty, homelessness, and violence.”

The idea behind the brand is to give the opportunity for buyers to participate in the process of helping end poverty, homelessness, school violence, and to make a social impact. Some of the partners Pajamas for Peace joins forces with are Haven House/Bridges (provider of emergency housing for homeless families) and Human Options (a domestic violence agency).
