Norwalk, CT (PRUnderground) May 19th, 2020

The University of Lynchburg has selected Akademos as its online bookstore provider to help students obtain significant savings on course materials. A nationally recognized private university with more than 3,000 students and 24,000 alumni around the world, Lynchburg’s mission to prepare students for engagement in a global society and for effective leadership in the civic, professional, and spiritual dimensions of life, will be further strengthened with the Akademos partnership. The new online bookstore and course materials platform will launch in support of the summer 2020 term.

Campus Store Manager Jill Farley is excited about the move. “Our new partnership gives faculty the tools they need to make affordable course material selections, and it gives students more affordable purchase options, especially our students with financial aid,” she said. “Their financial aid dollars will go farther.”

The Akademos online bookstore will support Lynchburg students with online access to a wide selection of low-cost material options including new, used, rental, digital, course packs, and a 100+ million title Marketplace. Financial aid may be used for all required and recommended course material purchases and free shipping is available on all retail orders of new and used books over $49.

The new course materials platform will also support the University of Lynchburg’s faculty and administrators with comprehensive adoption tools and powerful data and analytics technology. From guided course material adoptions and real-time price comparisons, to streamlined data collection and customizable reporting, no other online bookstore solution provides this level of valuable insights into material selection, purchasing, utilization, and overall student success.

“We are pleased to be working with the University of Lynchburg, and look forward to helping support the academic achievement of its students,” said Raj Kaji, CEO, Akademos. “In our experience, affordable and accessible course materials drive bookstore utilization, which results in more prepared students and the overall success of an institution.”
